Flag Day

Today the whole secondary 4 had a CIP event on flag day. Well, it is my first flag day since i did not go last year due to the 50th HDB anniversary thingy. I don't really know how flag day work like so just randomly work it out i guess. Early the morning, i was super tired. Don't know why. As long as i sat down, i just want to sleep. And i just want a seat for me to sleep. I don't know i fall asleep for how many times. Although i fell asleep many times, i still manage to get most of the important instructions i guess... After all the briefing, we set off to do our CIP. There are like 7 of us walking together. There are yu jun, puay suan, grace, ranice, jolyn, alicia and me. Initially, i don't know why are they so many people. Maybe because i just woke up from my sleep so i am a bit blur blur. Then, the 7 of us went to chinatown. Considering the fact that early in the morning, not many shopping malls are opened and markets and hawker centre are much more crowded in the morning. When we reached chinatown, we split at last, into 2, 2, 3. Ranice, jolyn and i were walking around to get people to donate. Well, i think we chose the correct location. There are really more people there and some uncles and aunties are quite generous and kind-heart to do some donation. We didn't stay at one spot but we moved around. As we moved around, we saw a lot of other students who were also helping the same organistion for donation. And wherever they are, we try not to stay there so, to avoid anything. Then, we went on walking down. We arrive at clarke quay where there is a lot of foreigners. From this CIP, i learn that it is difficult to get donation from foreigners because they do not have coins with them... But i manage to get 1 donation from one japanese tourist. Well, he asked a lot of questions but we managed to answer him. We continued walking, wanting to go to the colourful bridge. As we were on our halfway, we decided to give up on the idea of going to the colourful bridge because it is too far. So, we went to the nearest bus stop, wanting to take a bus to douby ghaut where the rest are. But every bus interval that is available to douby ghaut is 40 minutes and that is very LONG!!! So, instead we walked to douby ghaut which i think is faster. We reached plaza singapura within 10 to 15 minutes time and over there, there is still students from other schools asking for donation. According to alicia, there is 10 over schools doing flag day on the same day. After we had our lunch, we went back to school and then, puay suan, alicia and me went home. Well, my mum said that she want to fetch me so i waited for her at the bus stop. And, she took 40 minutes to arrive from my house to school!!! Make me wait so long...waste time... Then, she brought me to ubi to shop for cheap goods. After that, we went home so that i can bath and take medicine. Then, came out to find my father who was located at orchard central. After getting what we wanted there, we went on to ion orchard to have dinner because we got voucher. Seriously, my family will only eat at orchard area if we have vouchers because things are just so expensive there. Anyone can say that my family is cheap which i heard before but i don't care because this is the way for us to be spend thriftily and as long as my family enjoys the way we go and the way we do, i don't think anyone who has the rights to comment on us. We are who we are, ain't we? After dinner, the restaurant gave us even more vouchers. Oh gosh, it seems like the vouchers will never finish... Well, this is the way to ensure consistent costumers. After that, we went home, lethargic. And that's the end of my tiring day. Started the day will a very lethargic mood, ended the day with a tired body.
